I love the concept of the capsule being part library and cafe. The staff cool and professional. I stayed for three nights and it was okay. Quiet and restful, however I need to mention the weak WiFi and how stuffy it gets in your “cubby hole”. The common area is hip and allows you to chill. Overall it was okay.

Good for young travellers. Pods get hot.

Great hostel for the busy young traveller in Osaka. Nice and helpful staff. Good cafe. Good variety of books to read. Cons: The bed pods don't have very good ventilation. I think the hostel would greatly benefit from renting out small plug in fans for visitors that need it.

Great atmosphere for relaxing and reading

Book & Bed is all about the atmosphere. The cafe out front is great and has these interesting "Black" versions of lattes and other drinks. The best part is the main area of the hostel though, where there is an abundance of reading space surrounded by books. Whether you want to borrow books from the walls or just relax and read your own, its very comfortable and much more "relaxed" than most hostels.

The staff was very friendly, and the design of the place is just... crazy...! Loved it. It's a really beautiful place to stay. The bunks are private and comfortable, and very, very safe. Would definitely come again.

If I go to Osaka again, I wouldn’t stay here again. The location was fantastic as it’s close to everywhere... but apart from the convenience of the location, I don’t recommend this place to stay... It seems like it was more like a small book store and they tried hard to find a space to put a bed in between. I don’t understand why it has good rating...
