The Confectionery Suite at The 1883 Guesthouse

The Confectionery Suite takes its inspiration from a candy shop and confectionery in our historic downtown building more than a century ago. Located inside the restored 1883 Star Block building, the suite combines nostalgic touches and original details like the glass transoms and wooden floors with modern comforts.

Downstairs, you'll find Forty Barrels Coffee + Kitchen and Horn & Ivory Books, while the Flint Hills Trail runs directly behind the building—putting excellent coffee, a wide variety of food, downtown Osage, and a hall of fame rail trail outside your door.

The bedroom features two queen beds, and the living room has a queen-size sofa bed as well. The full kitchen offers everything you need for general cooking, and the living area provides a place to socialize, rest, or just enjoy the sunlight streaming in from the large historic windows.

The suite even offers a little taste of candy from the turn of the 20th century, when the Palace of Sweets called the building home. Feel free to try some (even if it may be a little different from modern tastes)!
