After taking transportation ( bus or taxi) to the town on the hill, walking or buses were available easily. The hotel was lovely. Great view of the square. A market was set up one morning, neat but a little noisy. I’d stay there again.

Absolutely loved stayig here! Beatrice was accommodating, kind, and extremely helpful! Our train out was a little later than our check out time and she allowed us to leave our luggage. The room was very nice and the hotel is at the center of the town. Would recommend to anyone lucky enough to get to stay!

Cutest town! Adorable B&B. The owner, her husband, and son were excellent hosts and very kind. Location was perfect in the middle of town. Steps from coffee, restaurants, shops and a beautiful church. The rooms were large, beds comfortable, bathrooms spacious and everything was clean and lots of attention to detail making you feel welcome and at home.

A great place to stay while visiting Orvieto - located right in the town's main square at Piazza del Popolo, close to the Duomo, shops, restaurants, cafes, and the bus that connects to the funicular. Note Expedia advertised the rate as including breakfast, but it was not included. However, that should be no problem because you're in Italy! This location is the perfect place to stay for one night while you explore the town. Some downsides are noise (the building is old so you could hear every sound from the hallway and the next room), no place for soap/toiletries inside the shower, and I could not get the AC/heater to work. Keep your expectations in check (this is a guesthouse with minimal amenities) and you will enjoy your stay. I agree with all the other reviewers who said this place is clean and staff is kind. I wouldn't hesitate to return here if I visit Orvieto again!

Great location and the host is delightful. Prepare to have cash for the city tax. We experienced a fair amount of noise from the surrounding area and the sound and light entering our room each time another guest came or went. The bed is VERY firm

The hotel was difficult to find. It is a close walk to the local sites. Breakfast was good with fresh baked goods. The room is difficult to get to if you can't climb narrow stairs with bags. The staff was friendly.

My only regret is that I didn't stay longer. I had planned to spend only one night because it was a last-minute trip. However, when I return to Orvieto, I will stay here again. As soon as I could, I called my wife to show her around. What a BEAUTIFUL space, the view! La Soffitta e La Torre felt like a second home, and I felt welcomed. Thank you!

Room was a well-maintained in a medieval building dating from the 1300s. Ancient timber and brick ceilings. Thrilling for Canadians used to only modern buildings. Fun to sit by the window and watch the action in the ancient square below. Hostess was very friedly and helpful and fluent in French, as well as Italian.
