Clean, good hotel staff and a working AC made our weekend a lot more comfortable in the 98° summer heat. Breakfast had cereal and some tasty cinnamon rolls with coffee, juice and milk. My only real complaints were that the pool and hot tub are out of service and the beds could use an update.

The pool and spa were closed , so I gave 4 stars. Otherwise, the place is clean and has all the amenities needed. Breakfast was good, the cinnamon rolls are made at local bakery (we believe), and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The decor in the room is a bit dated, and may need some attention, but is very much comparable to all the other hotels we have stayed at in the area. We have stayed here twice on the way to Canada, and have been highly pleased both times.

The whole hotel smelled musty and damp. The rooms need to be updated. The only linens on the bed were a thin top sheet and a very thin comforter. The mattresses/box springs were stained and looked disgusting. The whole place felt very dingy and outdated. Although the staff was nice, this hotel just needs a lot of TLC.

The pool and hotub are both closed permanently. Also, there isn't someone working the front desk all the time. I saw 3 rooms that weren't cleaned with the doors propped open. Very dated. Also, continental breakfast was less than ideal.

The room had an odor from the air conditioner. The carpets felt sticky. The blanket cover had a slight smoke smell. We were able to fish off the dock and catch some fish, which was the best part. The pool is closed indefinitely. The breakfast was sad. Ended up getting donuts at the cafe down the road for breakfast. The staff at check in was great, the staff at check out was pretty unprofessional. Convenient location for a night. Definitely not the same as my last stay in 2019.

Room and lobby was clean, rustic northwoods decor was a bit dated but charming. Staff was very nice and helpful. Pool, hot tub, restaurant look permanently closed. Hopefully there are plans to reopen at some point in the future, especially as local options for dining are limited. Good value for what we paid for lake view balcony room, only a few other guests at the time we stayed.
