Our first room: clumps of hair on towels, door to room didn't seal, so light, sound and cigarette smoke came through keeping us awake through the night, hairs on sheets and in shower, generally did not feel safe as far as the location and clientele. I asked, after we had checked in, if we could cancel the remaining 2 nights on our 3 night stay, but was told to contact Expedia since thats where i booked the room. Expedia could not reach anyone by phone that night. The next day the man at the motel told Expedia that i hadn't told anyone the reason i wanted to cancel and that they don't give refunds. I talked to the man at the front desk and explained, but he said all he could do was offer one of "better" rooms by the pool. That he has no control over sound or smoke as this is a motel, not a hotel. The "better" room we were given only had one washcloth, one hand towel and two towels. You have to request more towels before 11 am, which we didn’t. The room was exactly the same as the first, but we had no choice, as we were not going to be refunded for the remainder of our booking. Our room keys had to be reprogrammed each day.
