I recently stayed at LaQuinta in Orlando with my family, and it was an experience I would not want to repeat. From the moment we entered our suite, it was clear that cleanliness was not a priority. The room had a distinctly unkempt feel, with black mold lurking under the rim of the sink and toilet. To make matters worse, my son's feet turned black from walking barefoot on the floor. The bathroom door was coming off its hinges and falling apart at the bottom, which added to the overall sense of neglect.
As a family of six, we expected sufficient amenities, but we were only provided with four bath towels. We had to go down to the front desk to request more, which felt frustrating given the circumstances. Our first day was exhausting, and when we returned late in the evening, we found that our room had not been cleaned at all. The small trash cans were overflowing, and our dirty towels remained on the floor. When we called the front desk, we were informed that rooms are only cleaned every other day, which is simply unacceptable for a family stay.
When our room was finally cleaned on the second day, we encountered the same issue with towels—only receiving four once again. The shower was another headache, leaking constantly and being difficult to turn off completely. The furniture was scratched and old, and the moldings throughout the room were caked with dust and grime, further contributing to the unwelcoming environment.
