the room was decent, the “free” breakfast that’s not free because that’s the resort fee, was terrible. very few options. not worth it if you looking for a good free breakfast hotel. if you room says parking includes, be sure to screenshot it and save the image, because they will try to charge you $15 more at the property for it.

I asked several times for extra blankets and no one ever delivered them. The bathroom is outdated and rusted on the shower frame. The door lock was broken and the beds were extremely firm and pillows were awful

During our recent stay, we encountered several issues. The door did not close securely, requiring multiple attempts to latch properly. Furthermore, the cleanliness of the room did not meet our expectations, and the service provided was unsatisfactory. We were also disturbed by the housekeeping staff, who knocked on our door and entered the room twice before the scheduled check-out time, and subsequently contacted us via telephone, which created a sense of urgency.

I booked this hotel room sight unseen, and what a mistake that was. There was a huge line at check in, but it seemed ok at the reception area. Everything went south from there. After prepaying on Expedia, there were still amenity fees (even if not using the pool or continental breakfast) as well as a nightly parking fee per vehicle. So, another $60 total. The first room given was 4th floor and pool view. Opened the door and hit with the odor of mold. Found it growing on the walls, plumbing and upholstery. Immediately went back to the front desk for another room and was given new keys... To another room infested with black mold. It's on the walls, furniture, plumbing and even the headboards. I took photos and went back to the desk to ask what our options were. "Unfortunately, you booked with Expedia. We cannot give you a refund and we have no other rooms." Wow ... I'm at a loss. I paid for the trip protection insurance. Hopefully it will reimburse us for the room and other fees. We ended up leaving after calling customer support and booked another hotel. If you have COPD or a compromised immune system, book a room somewhere else. And make sure you pay the extra $10 for insurance. Just my 2¢.

Worst experience of my life

Room dirty, toilet not bolted down, bathroom door wouldn’t close. Smoke detector covered with a plastic bag, room smelled of mold and mildew, pillows absolutely garbage, took 20 mins to get checked in with no one waiting, was given the wrong room which caused an incident as it was 2am and the occupant of the room was very very angry. This was the worst experience in all my 35 years of staying at hotels.

Gym and Staff

Gym was cozy with great view if pool, but could use some updated equipment. Treadmill was inoperable as well as tv. Also some cleaning wipes so that equipment can be sanitized for the next person. Staff was very friendly and maintenance response time was very quick as well.

This is my second time staying at the Grand Hotel Orlando and it seems like the hotel continues to improve over time. The facilities, overall, are older and with that comes some things that are not always in the best condition. For example, I think every lamp in the rooms I have seen thus far have a significant amount of rust on them that make them look dirty. However, I can tell that the staff is keeping the rooms clean and doing their best to keep improving upon the hotel. For the price, this location offers a lot and that is also a big plus, in my opinion. I look forward to hopefully staying again soon.

Our stay

We booked for 4 nights. room was damp floors were damp had to put towels on floor of bathroom and sink area because floors were wet. wife walked across carpet with white socks on one time and they were damp and dirty. then we had a big pamento bug on the bed when we moved pillow. We stayed only 1 night and canceled the remaining 3 nights.
