Needs Major Cleaning and Repairs
Unfortunately, my stay at this property was very disappointing. When I arrived I climbed the stairway overgrown with weeds, the railing deteriorating with exposed nails, and the yard extremely unkempt. Weed vines were growing up the walls and around the windows, and an old cooler was left in the weeds at the bottom of the stairs. The listing was confusing—while the downstairs unit was labeled “B,” my unit was actually upstairs, which wasn’t clearly marked.Inside, the condition didn’t improve. The bed was only partially made, and I found the top sheet in the dryer with other linens suggesting cleaning and preparation had not been thorough. The window near the bed was stuck partially open, and instead of being properly repaired, it had thick plastic taped over it to cover the opening. The ceiling fans were too small for the space and difficult to operate—you had to use pull chains that were out of reach unless you stood on something.The AC unit grille was coated in thick dust. The shower curtain was oversized, folded over, and had reddish mold at the bottom. Though the host said it would be replaced, it never was. The blinds were broken, grimy, and some had been chewed on by a small animal. I had to use pillowcases to cover them for privacy.The kitchen rug was dirty, and the floor had visible termite damage that was collecting dirt.
