Sunny modern tiny home - 1 min walk to beach

Enioy our slice of paradise at Waiotahe beach. This modern, Tiny-Home-style bach is only 1-2 min walk to a beautiful swimming beach. Nestled away in Waiotahe drifts; a perfect get-away for a long weekend.

The Beach hutts have all the comforts of modern living: ultra-fast broadband, Smart TVs, an extra large shower, dishwasher, large BBQ and more.

This large site has plenty of room for additional tents and caravans for larger families (power available). Dogs ok with conditions

The space
The Beach Hutts were inspired by modern tiny home living. These pods offer great indoor outdoor flow with a large deck for soaking up the sun.

Pod one includes the kitchen/living and bathroom areas, fully equipped with an induction cooker, air fryer, dishwasher, and all the things you need for a comfy stay. Pod 2 includes a large master bedroom with super-king bed, wardrobe as well as a smaller bunk room, which contains a single-over-double bunk.

There is also an ecosa double sofa bed in the lounge (you will need to BYO bedding if you wish to use the pull out bed).

We’ve recently also added a fully covered in deck space so you can enjoy extra living space.

The site is a large flat site (700m2) and we have 2 caravan plugs and 2 outdoor electricity outlets for tents. Bring the family and enjoy a the perfect mix between caping and baching!

Other things to note
You are welcome to make bookings for more guests than stated on the listing. We have plenty of parking with two outdoor caravan/motorhome plugs and also outlets for two powered tent sites.

Two external security cameras are installed for guest safety and are positioned facing outward toward the road frontage, main entry point, and parking areas. These cameras are motion-activated and record video during motion events. The devices are audio-capable, however audio recording is not enabled. Cameras do not monitor any indoor spaces or private outdoor living areas.

The new Harbour entrance is now fully operational, making Opotiki an ideal launching spot for Game fishing. there's plenty of room to park the boat/trailer onsite.
Make yourself comfortable in this cabin, featuring a kitchenette with a refrigerator and a microwave. There's a private patio. Complimentary wireless internet access keeps you connected, and a Smart television is provided for your entertainment. Conveniences include a coffee/tea maker and an iron/ironing board.
Take in the views from a garden and make use of amenities such as barbecue grills.

We had such a good time—Mum, four teenagers and our little dog! We were hoping to unwind after the school term and work, and we did! We swam and walked every day. It’s a quiet, friendly neighbourhood. If you run out of something or fancy some takeaway, you’re in luck—there are shops nearby (you can walk or drive). It’s a short walk to the beach, and you can enjoy coastal walks nearby, swimming, fishing or just relaxing. It was easy to settle into this breezy beach bach—it felt like home away from home. It’s comfy, has everything you need if you’re looking for a peaceful escape. It definitely has a fishing village community vibe, safe, friendly and a relaxed family feel. The teenagers didn’t want to leave. We were looking for somewhere quiet. It ticked all the boxes for us. The Bach itself is well laid out, clean, warm, cosy and equally spacious as there’s plenty of separate areas, including outdoors, to seat yourself or gather without feeling like we were falling over each other. We really loved having our dog with us and great that he had a fenced off area to play in too. We especially loved the extra outdoor covered seated bbq area as an option to cook and eat. Indoor outdoor flow was perfect. Thank you, we loved it. What great hosts. Excellent communication.
Teens burned energy with competitive sports antics! Volleyball, touch rugby, badminton… nice flat land in front of Bach 😁
Make memories and see how long you can handstand with the setting sun whilst building a bonfire 😂
Sunrise daily walk a must!
Sunset every night - fishing folk and bonfires scattered along the beach
