Overlooking the spectacular gulf dominated by the island of Tavolara, Olbia is the main tourist arrival point in northern Sardinia. With its port and international airport, its scenic beauty, its history and traditions, it boasts an exceptional tourist offering. In the centre stand out the medieval Basilica of San Simplicio and the Archaeological Museum, which displays artefacts from Nuragic manufactures to Roman warships, and on a hill just outside the city, with views over the gulf, the archaeological site Nuraghe Riu Mulinu. The city is also the location of major events such as the Giro d'Italia and concerts by internationally famous artists.

The coastal territory of Olbia alternates between beaches and cliffs of incomparable beauty, including Pittulongu, Porto Istana, Le Saline, Li Cuncheddi and Bados. Furthermore, this area offers a network of nature trails rich in biodiversity, of varying degrees of difficulty for all types of hikers, which offer breathtaking panoramic views.

Kid goat with myrtle and Gallurese soup for a land-based dinner, sea urchins, bottarga, mussels and oysters if you prefer to try the fish from the gulf. To accompany, a good Vermentino di Gallura DOCG is a must, and to finish a delicious seada with honey and a glass of artisanal myrtle liqueur.
