    A week on a boat..October 18

Travelled from the UK with my son,not initially that enthusiastic.thankfully, changed on our arrival. Expected to make beautiful Portsmouth our focus but Kittery took over. Suzanne (the boat owner) ensured everything was organised for our stay. The Reef was private, despite, boats being closeby..The beds were very comfy, combined with gentle water sounds aided our sleep... Planned to rent a car,but local taxis for shopping and theatre night so reasonable didn't bother. $60 in all, including the return to C and J bus station, for Logan.Spent two very sunny days relaxing on the boat roof terrace, just bobbing about in the glorious sunshine. Entertained by the real working life of the river. Local restaurants provided all yummy food,Beach pea, is a must for lunch! Kate's cafe for great coffee and cake tho limited..it does overlook the Piscatuqa. We discovered the lively, pretty theatre in Kittery,my son chose the Indian restaurant for dinner which was the best..Discovered the reasonable Fabulous find which sells preloved clothing jewellery art..(money goes to local charity)...bought some quirky gifts. Kittery mall one day,we lunched at the fish restaurant and sat outside. Perfect! Perhaps Portsmouth next time.

    Houseboat was perfect

Had always wanted to stay in a docked houseboat and this was the perfect experience. It has everything you need, beautiful location and hosts were very helpful. My only comment is that 2 nights is not enough for the area, so would recommend staying 3 nights. Thanks again for a great stay

    Great

Clean accommodation .In walking distance to many shops and restaurants in New Hampshire. Loved the view while on the rooftop deck. Would definitely book again.

    Weekend on ‘The Reef’

We were looking for an opportunity to share, and enjoy, the Portsmouth and surrounding Seacoast area with out of town friends. We could have rented a concrete cube at any of the local hotels, but decided on a more memorable experience, and booked ‘The Reef’. We are glad we did! The Reef is quite comfortable for two couples, and the gentle sway on the river is actually very pleasant. On-site host George is wonderfully helpful and always ready to please. We could not have made a better, more enjoyable choice for our stay on the New Hampshire seacoast.

    4/5 Good

    Rockin the Night Away

Very clean and beds were so comfortable. Sunsets on the roofdeck were amazing. Loved being rocked to sleep at night! George the dockmaster and the Marina crew were fantastic. Only downside was that the boat was boxed in. When sitting on the front or back deck in the shade, another boat was right on top of you.
