We stayed in early March when next to nobody was holidaying. Essentially, we had the estate to ourselves! The breakfast was worthwhile. The room and facility was immaculate and beautifully presented. Even in peak season, the expansive estate offers tranquility and long views over patures to the Atlantic which is an easy 1km stroll to dramtic cliffs and the Fishermas trail. Highly recommended though, being off season, the diningroom was closed. O Sacas, a seaside restaurant, is a 5min drive to a fantastic meal.

I wish we‘d had more than one night at this beautiful property. It was peaceful and relaxing. We had a lovely walk out to the coastal cliffs followed by a delicious dinner. The breakfast buffet was the best of our three week trip in Portugal.

Room was nice though a little small. Also had a terrace with 2 loungers. Bathroom floor was heated. Access to free bikes to ride up the coast was great. Easy access to a great secluded beach that you roped down to was unique. Nice pool. Really cool vegetable garden where you could eat tomatoes off the vine and pick a watermelon to eat. Also could get leaves from vegetable garden to go feed the goats and Violet (the donkey). Goats always happy to see us. Violet sometimes was in a mood but sometimes cozied up to us. Goats will eat just about anything and they will get on their hind feet and push with their front legs on your stomach to have you feed them. Restaurant on site was also good. Breakfast was OK though would not call it super as some have described. In a quiet pretty secluded non touristy area of Portugal. Would comeback and would definitely recommend.

Peace and quiet

I had a wonderful stay at Herdade do Touril. On a one day trip i Saturday over night only big I really enjoyed the peace and quiet of the place. To wake up to the sound of birds and of Violets the donkey was the cherry on top of the cake. Dinner and breakfast were tasty and plenty. The staff was friendly and very professional. A beautiful back at only a few minutes walk through a lovely, wild path Definitely a place to come back to.

Miguel and the rest of the staff made us feel at home upon our arrival. The cottage was lovely and peaceful. And we looked forward each morning to breakfast besides on the porch with birds providing the music. Miguel guided us about activities in and around Zambujeira which helped us plan our stay there. Our son particularly loved petting and feeding the resident donkey on the property, Violet! We loved it here and would definitely want to visit Herdade do Touril again.

Herdade Do Touril is one of the nicest places we have stayed in our many travels around the world. The facilities are quite nice and well maintained. The property is like none other, surrounded by thousands of acres of farmland. It’s quiet, relaxing and one gets a sense of bring “away from it all” and yet there are miles of walking and biking trails along the ocean as well as through the farming areas. There is a wonderful breakfast buffet from 0830-1200 hours. The ever present hotel manager, Luis and his able assistant, Tatiana were wonderful to us during our check in and throughout our stay. Our waiter, Diogo, at dinner each night was fantastic. And of course the place would not function without the resident donkey named Violeta who, along with her sheep and goat friends, provided endless entertainment. If travel plans bring you anywhere near Zambujeira Do Mar, you will not regret choosing Herdade Do Touril to relax and enjoy all it has to offer.

Herdade do Estoril foi uma boa surpresa . Lugar encantador , com funcionários simpáticos e acolhedores . Fomos surpreendidos com uma espumante e um bolo no nosso quarto . Nosso quarto com varanda e vista do mar ao longe e vista do jardim e piscina tbem .,Um cantinho super charmoso para relaxar . Restaurante excelente e piscina climatizada . Muito perto de Zambujeira do Mar . E na propriedade da para caminhar até a praia do Tonel e observar a natureza na sua essência . E tem a trilha do pescador para quem gosta de caminhadas , o hotel fornece bicicletas para os hóspedes . O café da manhã é sensacional com muita variedade . Gostamos muito da estadia e pretendemos voltar num futuro próximo .

Een oase van schoonheid en rust. We hebben er kunnen bekomen van vier drukke dagen Lissabon. Het personeel is zeer behulpzaam. De inrichting sfeervol, authentiek en toch eigentijds. Het traditioneel eten en de wijn in het restaurant zeer lekker. Ik miste echter wel een verse cappuccino bij het ontbijt (misschien had ik het moeten vragen, maar het werd alvast niet aangeboden) - en ook de sauna was nog niet toegankelijk, maar dat zijne kleine puntjes. Proficiat aan heel het team!

Séjour fantastique dans un cadre enchanteur. Petit paradis au milieu de nulle part. Nous n’avons qu’une envie c’est d’y revenir. Les locaux sont spacieux, bien entretenus et propre, et tout le personnel souriant et aimable. Le restaurant est d’un très haut niveau. L’hébergement prête des vélos.

Sehr schöne stilvolle Anlage, freundliches Personal. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut. Unser Zimmer war sehr geschmackvoll. Allerdings waren im März die Heizungen nur im Bad an und es war recht kühl. Insgesamt haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt!
