My stay was overall 2.5 out of 5 stars. I was greeted at the front desk by one of the owners I believe a couple owns the property and it was the wife who checked me in. She was pleasant at first, I prepaid for my room so all I needed to do was pay the deposit $60 and get my room keys. There were a couple things that weren't so pleasant to my stay. The first being was that when I explained to the owner that my ride to the hotel would be visiting for an hour or so, she decided to place me in the very first room located at the entrance to the hotel which was directly across from the office, I felt she did this as though to keep an eye on me and my guest so that was uncomfortable for me. It was strange being so close to the main road. Looking back now i should have asked for a different room. Anyhow, they have free wifi and plenty of channels to watch. There were bathroom soaps and plenty of towels for me to use. My other complaint was at check out I was running a little late and at around ten minutes to 11am she arrived banging at the door while I was in the bathroom. As soon as I answered she threatened to keep my deposit and gave me five minutes to vacate before my deposit became unrefundable. I dont think I would stay there again. I'll

This property is by FAR the worst property I’ve ever seen. There were spackle marks all over the room, stains on covers, the mattress springs made crazy sounds, the towels looked as dingy as my golf towels that I used to wipe dirt off my clubs and finally there were BUGS in bathroom ceiling including the showers. This place looked out of a movie. And of course, the bathroom smelled like a collection of old dish sponges. It was so bad that I prepaid for two nights and I refused to stay there despite the fact that I paid for two nights. Now that’s bad!!!!!

Travel the way it used to be. This 50’s style motel that is being refreshed provided the basics of travel at a fair price. The room was clean, linens were clean, the A/C worked, it had blackout curtains that actually worked, the bathroom was just remodeled, plenty of dining options within a couple blocks and you can park right by your room for ease of access. And beach access is just 3-4 blocks through a quiet residential neighborhood. An excellent choice for the budget conscious traveler who has the right expectations.

Disappointed after the ratings I read

I loved the set up of the room but there were hardly any outlets to use. My feet were filthy from the floor. There were ants in the shower. We had 3 or 4 roaches. Stains on the sheets, I’ve never been Leary about using the bedding in a room, glad we brought extra blankets.
