This is a hidden gem of Oamaru. It’s a renovated hotel of yesteryear. Rooms renovated, bathrooms new. We sat by the gas fire in the lounge area in the evening and enjoyed a continental breakfast in the front room in the morning. The ambience is lovely with old world charm. Staff are excellent. We would stay again when in town, that’s the best recommendation that you can give.

Very large, clean suite. Bathroom was huge! Good parking at back of building though a -long- way from our room at the front in older classier part of hotel. Only thing was our room was very cold and took ages to warm up, due to small heater and large room with at least 15 ft height to ceiling.

Check in was excellent. Very friendly and helpful. We were given a room upgrade. A pleasant surprise. The Bistro and dining room were great. The food was a bit pricey but we didn’t mind paying a bit more to eat in when we were looked after so well. We would stay there again.
