went for a conference that was literally across the street. happy to have stayed here. keep in mind what others have said regarding the extra money you have to put down as a safety deposit once you arrive. breakfast was good, staff was accommodating. felt safe due in-part to the key only access at the front.

Check in was difficult this time around. The check in desk staff throw my check in time back a full hour. Me and other visitors. It was very unprofessional. We had to wait in the lobby. We reported this to the supervisor and the city for poor staff service. Expedia should investigate this matter at Hampton Inn Oakland Downtown-City Center. Thank you.

The hotel and room were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great, especially the yogurt and fruit options. It was just a 3 minute walk to 12st BART, which was so convenient for me because I like to take public transportation to Oakland. I will definitely stay again. I will highly recommend this hotel to my friends and family. Thanks for a pleasant visit!

The fact that there is so many homeless people walking around - i appreciate our security was taken into consideration. No one was able to enter the building without a key. The hotel is clean overall and quiet. Breakfast was prepared onntime each morning, with variety to choose from. I would stay here again

The facility was clean with friendly staff. Unable to check in early, so staff stored my luggage. Also provided us with a late breakfast past its service hours. Neighborhood not the best, some homeless around the area. Parking limited to valet only. I parked in a nearby garage for the day and then overnight valet.
