Property was very clean and the facilities were excellent although pool can become very busy at weekends. Room was very clean although the plug sockets failed to charge my phone. I believe this was part of a new build upgrade but clearly the electrics have not been completed correctly and hardly work. The biggest issue with this hotel is the signage. It is a complete misleading mess. A rectangular building should not be difficult to navigate but this particular hotel fails at every hurdle. A lift that goes down to actually suggest you are on a higher floor?? I have seen many things in my time abroad but in the UK? hard to believe!! On asking other guests about this they all concurred with the above opinion including multiple staff members who I have no intention of naming. Aside from the signage, the staff were amazing and could not do enough to ensure my stay was enjoyable. I cannot thank them enough for their constant directions to and from my room. Special shout out to Lottie in the bar who has the kindest heart and a fantastic smile x I actually would return to the hotel but please sort the misleading inaccurate signage out prior. Jason - Room difficult to locate!

Overnight stay at The Village, Notts was great.

Lovely staff at reception, very welcoming. Great room, comfy bed snd pillows, huge room and massive tv. Bathroom facilities were very clean and modern. Great atmosphere in the bar area and visit to the pool area early morning was well worthwhile.

The hotel is in a good location, and is lovely and clean. It’s extremely overpriced for what you get though. I haven’t stayed for 5 years in a village and I remember why. Nothing has improved in terms of the hotels or their service. I was astounded after paying £160 for one night that I was charged further to use the gym too. The spa area made up somewhat for the overall experience but I won’t be staying again.

Lovely hotel and accessible room with wet room. I really appreciated the room as a disable person and a manual wheelchair user. The staff were absolutely brilliant and helped me when i needed it. The only thing was that the room was quite a distant away from the restaurants and the main reception area. I had to order room service as i struggled getting to the restaurants and eating areas. Maybe that could be something to look into making the accessible rooms more accessible to the main hotal reception area. Thank you.

The stay was wonderful and the rooms were good, comfy beds, comfy pillows, very tasty breakfast. Water pressure in the shower was very low. Hung out the “please clean room” sign but unfortunately it was not cleaned.

Woken up due to gym noise

Stayed at this hotel for business many times - unfortunately I was given a room on the first floor above the gym. The room was very stuffy due to the time of year so windows open, at 5am the loud thumping bass from the gym sound system woke me up and even with the windows closed it was impossible to ignore. This meant I was tired going to work a physical job all day and I was offered a free coffee as way of apology from the staff. Not acceptable to put rooms in the vicinity of that amount of noise at an unreasonable time. I will consider my stay here during my next business trip because of this
