Impressed but not so impressed

The coference centre was easy to find. The reception staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. One actually went the extra mile to find out our conference venue. Our room (superior) was light, bright and spacious. The fittings and fixtures were appropriate and comfortable. However, the hot water was never that hot and not at all beyond first thing. The television did not work despite two separate attempts to find the fault and was only made to work as we were leaving. We were offered a drink at the bar as compensation but no one told the bar tender. In the restaurant we found it odd that the glasses were in one place and the fruit juices in another. A good rooom and great hospitality skills were very much let down in the detail.

Nice hotel on University campus

The hotel is actually quite nice, however, my window seemed to look out into a van delivery area, and they started making a racket from around 6.30 am. I would have liked a choice of pillows also, they were both hard. Pillows are more important to me than the mattress. It's only a few minutes walk to the main road with plenty of buses into town or a half hour walk. And plenty of free parking

Very enjoyable stay and would give top rating when it comes to value for money. Had a good nights sleep and great breakfast. The setting is scenic too and made the breakfast even more enjoyable. Will be staying again
