IMPORTANT NOTES

The home’s open-air design allows for natural airflow; insects may occasionally enter the home.

The property is fumigated twice yearly, though some insects are expected in a tropical climate.

One hour of daily housekeeping helps maintain comfort.

Check-in is conducted in person. Arrivals after 8 p.m. will receive remote check-in, followed by an in-person meeting the next morning.

Casa Oolibka sits in one of Nosara’s most secure neighborhoods, offering panoramic ocean views just 10 minutes from Playa Guiones via paved roads. Guests enjoy privacy, tranquility, and easy access to town.

Noise Policy: Las Huacas enforces a 10 p.m.–7 a.m. noise ordinance. Events, parties, and large gatherings are strictly prohibited.

LOCAL QUIRKS | WHAT TO EXPECT

Life in Nosara is relaxed and full of charm — but it comes with a few quirks! You may experience dust, bugs, or brief power, water, or internet outages. Construction noise is also possible between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m. as the area continues to grow.

If reliable internet is essential, consider adding a mobile data plan. Please note that local septic systems don’t allow toilet paper to be flushed — bins are provided.

These are normal aspects of life in Costa Rica and outside our control, so refunds aren’t offered for such occurrences.

SAFETY & CANCELLATION

While we honor our cancellation policy, processing fees are non-refundable for guest-initiated cancellations.

Petty theft can occur, so please keep doors locked, valuables secured, and use alarms or security bars when available. A private guard can be arranged upon request.

Even with precautions, theft can happen. Rent Nosara, the homeowner, and the property manager cannot be held responsible for lost items.
