Room was very comfortable and clean and provided exactly what we needed for one night. Breakfast staff was very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. The only downside was that the cooked breakfast was rather bland in taste.

The staff were great in every way and the included breakfast was fantastic. Couldn't fault a single thing. Perfectly priced and the bar looked very well stocked and had a good atmosphere.

5 star service from all the staff right from our welcome with Bradley through to checking out. Our two night stay for B&B was a pleasure, nice clean room and we also had evening meal there on both nights which was equally nice. I would like to thank the staff for their friendly and attentive work.

How you was welcomed into the building, very good. Table service, very good. A little disappointed about menu being short, not a lot of choice. Parking good. The Plough Inn very popular with locals. I would recommend to people who want to dine and stay the night or use as a base if toring.

Ok, but better value elsewhere. Disappointing.

Disorganised from start to finish - check in was not smooth, breakfast served from 8am (too late when aimed at work stays), room had hairs in the shower and bed, and room was very dusty. Biscuits in room - lovely touch, apart from my packet was open with a bite out of it! Hotel has potential but needs money spending on communal areas and better attention to detail. The photos of outside are virtually catfishing! Rubbish and rotting picnic tables outside. Bit grim.

Attempts to be boutique on a budget...

Room was spacious. Bathroom was a bit 'unique' in design but had hairs in the sink and shower and windows were very dirty. Lots of free parking. Insufficient coat hangers. Was told breakfast was from 7am - but then later told 8am which was too late. Disappointing and probably wouldn't stay again.

A lovely place to stay this weekend was our 3rd stay at The Plough. I had booked through Expedia, and there was a system error with the booking, which the manager sorted out for us, and all was good. Lovely food, staff and very nice rooms too,. What more can you ask 😊
