The hotel was in a good location for getting to UEA for an open day and was easy to get to from Sheffield. The staff were friendly and helpful and the main area was clean and well decorated. The room smelled a little damp when we arrived though the smell faded quite quickly. We found a good wrapper down the side of the sofa bed which wasn't great but the bedding and towels all seemed clean. The mattresses on both the bed and the sofa bed were extremely uncomfortable which was a shame and because of this I would not start at this girl again.

Great Hotel for a Family Stay

Very nice hotel. The restaurant had a children's play area and the staff were especially welcoming and helpful; Miss Cindy in particular went out of her way to be kind to our children. Finally, because the play area was designed in one corner, we did not need to worry about noise disturbing other guests.

Had a nice weekend break with my son to visit the new Castle museum. Hotel was quiet, clean, and friendly and helpful staff. The only downside is it’s a long way out of town. But there’s a regular bus service nearby.

A lovely hotel

Easy to get to, and a well lit car park. Breakfast was good, but hot food was not as hot as it could be. The first day most of it was cold. I had breakfast at 9am and it didnt finish serving until 10.30am. The second day was better. The choice was really good and self serve. The rooms are a good size and the bathrooms are modern and bright. The early access and late leaving is a bonus . The staff are really friendly and helpful.

Staff were truly excellent- helpful and polite. However, the room had faults. The AC did not work for bothe nights. Staff were not able to correct that. The sink in our room was cracked. The exhaust fan in the bathroom did not work. There mosquitoes in the bathroom. Overall not up to the usual Holiday Inn Standards.

Excellent stay

Found this to be an excellent choice of hotel. Staff were helpful and friendly. Bedrooms were big and comfortable. Loved having pillow choices. Pool/sauna/steam room a bonus. There was a good range and choice of food and drink options. Buffet style breakfast, lots of choice. Had evening meal in restaurant, excellent. Definitely will stay again.

We would recommend this Holiday Inn!

We were visiting friends in Cromer Pier Show and I wanted to book a last minute Hotel. The Holiday Inn was the closest (over 20 miles away) and available and the best rate. I didn’t realise breakfast was included, which was a nice surprise when the receptionist informed us at check in. We could have used the pool, but didn’t have time in the end. The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. My son and I will be back next year, unless we camp in Cromer. I can recommend this Holiday Inn, convenient for the airport and has a cheeky McDonald’s situated behind it, if you feel like a late night snack! The breakfast was very good! I wasn’t sure about the barking dog in the conservatory, at breakfast time, I felt sorry for the staff member who had to converse with the owner, who was worse. We would recommend this holiday Inn for a budget stay, that’s a little more than budget, but worth it.

This hotel was the worst I have ever stayed in! One lift was broken, the other didn't go to our floor so we had to carry our luggage up the stairs. Our bedroom windows were cracked and broken with caution tape on them and the bedroom was clearly in need of an upgrade. The gym equipment was old, rusty and barely functional. Strongly advise you to give it a miss!

Staff make a good hotel great

Staff make the hotel, everyone was so friendly, I came with wife and our autistic son, he was made up with how staff liaised with him, even the kids pack which included a lanyard (he collects lanyards) Room was comfortable and breakfast was lovely

Staff were helpful and very friendly. The hotel was clean with spacious rooms, dining/ bar and reception area and an on site pool. Great breakfast with good provision for children, and for guests with gluten intolerance. We had one evening meal at the restaurant, the portions were generous but overcooked. There is a pick up drop off bus service a five minute walk away, that takes you to Norwich in 10-15 minutes. I recommend this hotel and would use it again.

The indoor pool was quiet and lovely for a family. Checkin was smooth with activity packs for the children. Breakfast was delicious with good options. Our kids ate free for all meals. Overall will come back again.
