Property was nice but very disappointed in our room. There was quite a bit of water damage on our ceiling with some areas peeling. Also the pull down shade was not installed correctly so we were unable to put it all the way down. In addition, check in time was listed as 3:00 pm. We arrived at 5:00 pm and our room was not ready yet. This was not what we expected for a Hilton hotel.

We chose this hotel because it had a pool and laundry facilities, and neither were working when we were there so that was a bit of a disappointment. We were doing a lot of hiking, so a pool/hot tub at the end of the day would have been nice. Also, we needed to do some laundry and couldn't do that because the washing machine was broken. I can understand one thing, but both made it very frustrating.

From the moment we arrived after a 3.5 hour ride with pets, we were welcomed by a Super friendly Front desk Agent. She got us checked in quickly and let us go put in a quick food order from The restaurant before the kitchen shut down . The food was excellent and the bartender/server took care of us. The location and closeness to the dunes made the hotel The best solution for us . Everyone we came in contact with was extremely helpful ! We definitely enjoyed our stay and will be back .

Outside the property was well kept and the lobby entrance was clean and updated. Convenient access to Indiana Dunes NP. The room itself was average. Our blackout curtain was kept rolled up by two binder clips, we were missing full body towels, the bathroom sink drained incredibly slow, and the coffee creamers in the room were spoiled and curdling. It was slightly pricier than the hotels around it and I don’t feel like it was worth it.

Not worthy of having "Hilton" in its name

The good: Rooms are quiet without excessive AC hum. The hotel is also well away from the road so that it feels isolated and peaceful. The bad: Old. Needs a thorough remodeling, and serious staff training. No venting in the bathrooms, seams needed to be caulked, and worst of all, NO water pressure at night. Couldn't take a shower because water barely dribbles out. Staff won't answer the phone if you call from the room. Go and talk to them directly at the front desk you say? Good luck finding anyone but a sign saying. "We'll be right back"

Always Delivers a great experience !

Staff at hotel very nice and helpful. A non handicapped room would have been nice given I’m 6,-2” and a regular shower would have been nice. Breakfast at resturant was excellent. 20 years ago I stayed at this site while building a plant in Michigan City. It was a great extended stay then and it did not fail 20 years later!

Decent, but not great

Room was clean, but tub in bathroom was cracked and hot tub in pool area did not work. Affordable, service was fine. Mini mart contained laundry detergent, snacks and drinks if needed. Convenient 15 minute drive to the Dunes.
