Jay Peak and surrounding area are exceptional
Room was adequate, however dresser had 3 drawers that would not stay closed and 1drawers handle was missing a screw to secure it,
I counted 11 bugs on walls and ceiling, when reported to front desk his response was “yeah they are everywhere “
We booked 2 bedroom cottage. It was big but Rooms were outdated and full of bugs. We called twice to get rid of Bugs. After paying for resort fee which includes parking and wifi someone else parked at our cottage parking, whole night we couldnt park at our parking. We complained but they asked us to wait till noon. Waterpark was nice but it was super busy and staff ( Supervisor lady) was rude. Asking toddlers to follow unnecessary rules , else asked us to leave the area rudley. There is no room service or housekeeping. No coffee, no drinking water bottles at room, when asked, staff advised me to buy from convinece store. Apart from that view was awesome. Quiet area but just to grab food need to drive all the way to town.
Started off without receiving what we paid for. When we booked it said slope view, instead it was a view of the water park. They were unable to do anything about that, then our air went out. It kept blowing heat in our room all night. Maintenance had to come reset it every few hours and it never would stay working. The bedroom lights wouldn’t turn on either. For that kind of money we expected things to at least work. We told them at checkout and he didn’t offer to do anything for our terrible night, just charged another resort fee. We will never be back.
I had a unit with a small kitchen. The carpet was very stained/dirty and looked like it was way overdue for replacement. Found a dirty pan in the oven and broken glassware in the dishwasher. The oven looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. Looking past the poor cleanliness and wear, the rest of the unit was basic but ok with obvious corporate cost cutting. Overpriced for what I got. You’re paying for the location near the mountain. For example the TV in the sitting area was old and had no Wi-Fi to support streaming services. No pulls on the kitchen cabinets and drawers which probably saved them a few dollars but made the drawers and cabinets hard to open. No TV in the bedroom area. They must have the cheapest toilet seat they could find as I could feel the plastic bending when I closed the lid and sat on it. The bedroom was downstairs in the unit which worked well for me but this would be a problem for anyone with mobility problems. The unit included an unfinished laundry room adjacent to the downstairs bedroom that some might like but I didn’t use this. The unit had a small outside deck which had a partial view over a valley but it looked to me like they had allowed the nearby wooden area to grow in which blocked most of what was likely a very nice view when the units were built. One the leaves fall off the view may improve for winter visits. I visited off season in the fall.
We were exceptionally surprised !! I did not know this was a fancy ski resort. I thought it was a small motel. WE HAS SUCH A GREAT TIME !! And will definitely stay here when we visit VT again.
I was disappointed with my stay due to the mattress situation. Instead of providing a proper king-size mattress as advertised, simply two double mattresses were pushed together. The result was incredibly uncomfortable—there was a noticeable gap in the middle, and the uneven surface made it nearly impossible to sleep well. More over we are travelling with a kid, it was very uncomfortable with one sleeping in the middle and mattress was pretty uneven. For a place that markets itself as a luxury resort, this does not look like proper standard. A good night's sleep is much expected for relaxing, but this kind of situation makes a big difference when you're trying to relax. Much was expected from this kind of resort but unfortunately it didn't live upto the expectation.
