The best bioluminescence is usually seen during a new moon, when the sky is darkest and the glow is strongest, generally between 7:30 pm and 11:00 pm.

We loved the location of this rental! The Bioluminescent Bay and pool are just out the back door and the ocean facing beach is just across a very quiet street that hardly ever has cars on it. We had very high winds (22-30mph all day) several days of our trip but we only felt a gentle breeze here. Beds were comfortable, air conditioners worked well and it was very clean.

The property was perfect for our group of six. We loved being able to kayak on the bay at night and swim in the pool. Close location to a number of great spots to have dinner or drinks at. Relaxing view of the bay outside the back of the patio. Only negative thing to note is the ac on the main floor was not working. We messaged Josh the first day and he never even responded. It wasn't a huge deal as we just left the windows open and the weather was super breezy that week so it cooled off at night enough.

We had an amazing stay at this home in the Cayman Islands! The property was spotless, beautifully maintained, and exactly as described. The location was perfect, close to the beach, great dining, and everything we wanted to do. The host was responsive and made the entire process easy from start to finish. It was the perfect place to relax and make great family memories. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it!

Fantastic everything except for the master bed

The location, cleanliness, communication were all top notch. It really is a nice condo but the master bed is awful. It’s a ginormous California king but it’s just worn out and it’s like sleeping in a bowl. I slept several nights on the downstairs couch which is not ideal. Outside of that, the family loved the condo.

Great Stay

Excellent property and location. Pool, beach, restaurant and bar all within close proximity. Low key area away from the hubbub of seven mile beach provides a relaxing getaway. A bit out of the way so a car is necessary if you want to get out and about.Well kept and perfect for two couples.

Best location

Absolutely loved Rum Point, and property was perfectly located. It had kayaks in the back and was right up against the Bioluminescent bay so we could paddle out for free every night. Across the street was an excellent snorkeling as well as activity sign up. The property was mostly clean and had most of what we needed. Cayman June Trip

The condo was almost perfect. Great location to beach and pool was right outside our door. Was supposed to have 6 rolls of toilet paper but only had 4 in the condo for three of us for four days. Notified property manager and told him if we would need more but didn't. There was also a musty, moldy smell in the unit. It was pretty strong but it was mostly downstairs. I'm severely allergic to mold but fortunately didn't have a problem. The AC units weren't the best. I set mine on automatic in the master but that basically turned it off. Downstairs stayed pretty warm during the day as well. Overall we enjoyed Rum Point and the location of the condo but disappointed in the items mentioned above for the price we paid.

Perfect location for ‘downtime’

We loved our stay at Island House!! The area was perfect, having access to kayaks was great. We didn’t use the bikes because we weren’t ambitious enough to use the hand pump to fill the tires, but a hand pump was available. Property managers responded quickly with requests. The neighbors were very friendly and gave us great tips on local cuisine. Thank you for sharing this condo! We will be back!!

Perfect condo and location

We are a family of four and accompanying us, my 75 year old Mother. Island House #12 was everything we had hoped for. The Rum Point area is so cool. Uncrowded, great snorkeling, beautiful beach, nice restaurants. And the condo had everything you could possibly need during your stay, was sparkly clean, great location. We definitely give this condo the highest rating!

Great vacation spot!

This vacation property is superb! It's literally on a beach, surrounded by gorgeous palm trees, and steps from a pool and the bioluminescent bay. There is a restaurant down the road. It's about an hour's drive from the 7 mile beach area, but if you're looking for some (very very ) quiet downtime, this is it. It was perfect for us.

Perfect location for an amazing visit!

Property is as advertised. Clean, stocked, and ready to rock. The location is the star though. Bioluminescent bay and pool right out the back door. Rum point across the street. Snorkeling was awesome! We snorkeled out by the dock and all the way out and around the point where all the artificial reef is. Turtles, rays, barracuda, parrot fish, puffer, starfish…. Chisholms grocery is just down the street and the grill options at rum point beach are awesome. Would definitely stay here again!

Pretty place in great location

The house had everything we wanted and needed. Plenty of beach towels and other linens. Kitchen is well equipped. The whole area is very lovely. Rum point beach is just across the street! Try the kayaks on a clear night on bioluminescent bay!

Excellent Stay

Property exceeded our expectations. Well equipped and maintained. Beach suburb @ Rum Point although cruise passengers made it less comfortable - just make sure you get to the beach before 10 AM and you will be fine for space. Not so many places to eat locally. We went to the Rum Point Club once, Kaibo Twice - Very good and Over the edge once, also very good. Be sure to take the ferry form Kaibo to Camana Bay, a bit commercial but worth it just for the boat ride. Also, if you have a hire car take a trip round the other end of the island which is unspoilt, saw many Large Iguanas and the beach chairs at the Wyndham resort are free. The beaches @ East end are deserted ( Exept the Chickens!!) and beautiful,. Hope to be able to return one day.

Grand Cayman is AMAZING!!! Staying at Rum Point was also AMAZING!!! Location, location, location!!!

The property was everything is was advertised to be and very accurate with the pictures we saw online. The best thing going for the property is location, location, location!!! We LOVED being at Rum Point, being on the bioluminescent bay, close to Kaibo and Starfish Point and the pool was right outside our door! The availability of the kayaks was awesome and we used them quite a bit during the day and at night. The property and surrounding area is GREAT, the condo unit itself isn’t “new and super updated” but it wasn’t advertised as so and it was super functional & had all that we needed!!! A few recommendations: grocery shop at Foster’s and Cost-U-Less, go to Stingray City and snorkel with of Peace of Cayman & Captain Eduardo and Crew (1(345) 323-6069), fishing trip with Reel Esea and Captain Ebanks and crew, rent a car and drive the whole island. Favorite restaurants...On the Northside eat on the beach at Kaibo Yacht Club and in town Sunshine Grille is OUTSTANDING!!! Also in town, Seven Mile Burger was EXCELLENT!!!

Great location at Rum Point

The townhouse was great! Perfect size for our family of 4. Plenty of space indoors and out with all of the amenities we needed at the condo. Beautiful views of the bay and walking distance to Rum Point club. We love this side of the island. Laid back still with plenty to do. Property managers were great! Friendly and responsive.
