We made a booking on Labor Day weekend for a last minute vacation, so ended up with a beachside “VIP” room. Check-in was great with complete introduction to property and benefits plus complementary drinks (including beer option). Room was very nice for price and very clean. Hotel TV technology was outdated, which made it almost unusable (no movie channel or rental options), and we weren’t able to stream to it. There was a bedside tablet that seemed to be available for in-room service, etc, but it didn’t work. Overall it wasn’t worth the upgraded price.

Unfortunately we were unimpressed with our stay at Surfsand Resort. It is extremely overpriced for what you get. There were also ants in multiple areas in our room which was a red flag for the level of cleanliness.

This is a great place to stay to enjoy Cannon Beach. Although we had to switch rooms , staff was very helpful, friendly and accommodated all of our needs. Rooms are very modern with very cool features like patio and fireplace to enjoy the area. My only recommendation is to become more eco-friendly and avoid using single toiletries and prohibit the use of plastic toys that end up in the ocean. Finally we really enjoyed taking bikes to the beach but bikes are in very bad condition and could use an upgrade.
