To start off we had poor internet connection and hotels.com charged us twice for the room and I'm still working at getting a refund for 1 of the charges because the Colonial Motel has to agreee to refund us and they haven't. The parking is strange, your assigned spot isn't near your door. We were out back and that means on the lower level. All you could hear was people walking loudly above us -All. Night. Long. Lobby was small but inviting, except for the large bullet proof glass partition. When I tried to converse with the Desk Staff he was quite rude amd would only say "ID" no matter what question I asked. I wonder if he didn't speak English. He didn't offer me a receipt either. I tried to fill my info out on the check in sheet (address and phone etc), but he rudely and loudly said "No! Sign only!" So I signed the form and he gave me a key. He said "23 in back". I asked what the wifi password was because the key card envelope said "wifi password is.... room # is...." and neither was filled in. He said "23" I pointed to the words and asked for the password again. He said it and then said "Go now". Shocking. The room was disappointingly tiny. There was a nice mini fridge against a wall, a chair shoved under a mirror, a small dresser with tv on it and then jacuzzi corner-tub crammed together on 1 wall. Other wall had chair and bed. Bathroom didn’t have space either. Nothing seemed very clean. Ice bucket had stains. I didnt see a machine anywhere around. No phone.

I booked this motel really last minute, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the guy on reception was great, super friendly & helpful. I will say that when turning the knob for the shower it cut my hand, not bad but it did bleed so therefore I am giving 4/5 stars. Parking was ample and unlike some of the other motels, this place had a huge sign and was easy to pull into.

Overall good, cleanliness could use some help

Great parking, very friendly staff and check in and check out, comfy beds… only issues/recommendations I would have would be to put a little more effort in cleaning the bathrooms.. mini blind in bathroom window was covered in dirt/dust/mystery stains, hairs throughout the bathtub, random stands on walls in room near the beds. We were just there to sleep for 1 night - but wouldn’t have stayed any longer than that. Everything in the area closes right up tight by 8pm.

Eban, the general manager, was knowledgeable about area activities and sites to see. He is also a very generous person with his time and shows real concern making sure that his travelers are well taken care of. The bed was very comfortable. There was plenty of hot water for the shower and the water pressure was very strong. Room size was adequate.

100 nope!

Have stayed here many times in past and it was clean and never issue this stay was horrible and 1st room was dirty tub and tub mat was beyond gross. Second room stunk. Will not be going back

This property needs a little face lift but was clean and in a great location. We love the Muddy Moose just a short walk away. Needed more coffee and maybe a small snack or two in the morning wouldn;t hurt.

At least the sheets were clean - and there was a peacock themed clock that was pretty entertaining. Not sure how that fit with a colonial theme, but it gave us a chuckle. That’s about all the positive news I can share. I always check the beds & found that under the clean sheets there were dirty old mattress pads and mattress covers. I opened the mattress covers & found that the mattresses were fairly worn, but no signs of bugs, so ok there. The rest of the room needed some updating, repainting, patching holes where they have moved things over the years. The back of the bathroom door looked terrible.
