Aruba surf club

Property is great. Definitely more for families. Lots of activity. The unit you get depends on what is available. We were not given any checkin instructions so had to negotiate to get an ocean view unit. First we were to be given a parking lot view but the Marriott was great in giving us a semi-ocean view. Since we have a lot of Marriott points they moved us the next day to a true ocean view. I would verify with the owner before going to be sure you are truly getting ocean view. Besides that hiccup the place was great.

Description of property

While the property was exactly as we expected, beautiful. The description of what we rented on VRBO was a 1 bedroom with a kitchen and living room. Having stayed there previously, we knew exactly what we were renting!! At check in we were told that we were actually in a Studio - which is merely a plain hotel room with 1 bed, couch and microwave and there were no other rooms available!!! Owner blames VRBO for the listing. VRBO has indicated that since they did not hear from us on check in day (calls from Aruba were not going through or dropped - after 2 hours of frustration and tears, I gave up until I returned) they could not help us. I will NOT be using this service again !! I did not receive a penny returned to me from either the property owner (who knew there was this glaring mistake!!!!) or VRBO!!! Moral of the story - beware!!! Be very, very careful!!
