Probably the best hotel in the area with about 18 pools in the male section. The main pools have fantastic view of the Jigo valley. We had Kaseki dinner for 2 nights and both were fabulous. Staff are helpful from the doorman, Jonathan, parking attendant to the reception staff. We like to give special compliments to the Leader of the food & catering, Ms Kanako. She’s absolutely gracious, highly service minded and made our dinner very enjoyable. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here. The hotel location is also within walking distances to the river stream foot hot spring, the Bear park and the Jigo valley.
Fantastic hotel! Spacious, neat and tidy room, yummy buffet food, dazzling array of products in souvenir shop, easy to access as bus stop is just steps distance in front of main entrance ….
Just one thing, it would be perfect if in-hotel coin laundry available.
Very detail matters. This onsen facility cares a lot of detail. Staff are kind and well trained. My wife and I can see very detail “Omotenashi” in room, restaurant, onsen and staff service. It was really impressive. If we will stop by Hokkaido again, we want to stay again and see if there will be any small improvement (Kaizen) there.
Surprisingly unique Onsen experience with natural hot springs for wading and foot baths available in the surrounding pathways. Noboribetsu is a must visit destination for travelers to Japan who desire something different and away from the busy streets of Tokyo, Osaka and other popular spots.
Excellent hotel. Stayed here for 2 nights and it was an excellent choice. We had a nice hike after a big breakfast followed by onsen in the afternoon. Hotel was perfectly situated.
It’s an older big hotel. Parking away was not that convenient. Definitely needs some updates.
But the best part of it is onsen of course.
Yes, it’s very dated too, but per my understanding they have the best selection of verity of onsens, because they are the closest to the source!
Each bath shows the content of the minerals which is very helpful.
The dinner of almost 12 meals was pretty good. But I would not say everything was delicious. But definitely very interesting experience.
Breakfast buffet was good too, a little crowded thought.
I usually prefer newer and smaller hotels … but this one had the most health benefits because of the onsen. So I would definitely recommend this hotel for someone who wants a good onsen experience. Not a fancy one though!
The hotel was really nice place to stay with many different kinds of hot springs. The dinner buffet was great as well the breakfast. The first staff who took care of our check-in (I think she was Chinese lady) spoke super-fast Japanese that I had a tough time understanding (by the way, I am Japanese). I know that check-in can be busy with people waiting for their turn but wish that she spoke a bit slower. Otherwise, it is a wonderful place to stay!
