Very nice hotel, room was clean and comfortable. Building is being renovated and while our balcony was “open,” the scaffolding on the front of the building directly abutted our balcony. Kind of a bummer.

Hotel looked good and should have been lovely but the exterior of the building is being renovated and is mostly covered in scaffolding and tarpaulin. Our first room had no view of the outside, the balcony was fully covered with plastic sheeting. We were moved to a room with a marginally better view but in the day light it was again not good and we were woken up at 8am by builders banging right outside our window. We couldn’t open the curtains as they were on our balcony! We complained and after much wasted time were downgraded to an inferior room. We had to argue to get the difference in room rate refunded and then they would only do that for the 2 following nights, not the disturbed night. Receptionists very helpful, management lacking any customer service. The owners are refusing to mention the works online and are mis selling the hotel currently vs the pictures that are shown. Avoid until works are completed!

We made a two day reservation on the day we arrived in Nice. The VRBO we originally reserved was a 4 flight climb with luggage. I had strained my back that morning at the train station, so we had to make new plans. Hotel La Nice was perfect for us. Small, clean, and friendly in a charming location near the promenade and reasonably priced. The elevator, standing shower, and small balcony overlooking the street with double doors I could leave open, all helped me recuperate quickly. After recovering, local restaurants and a stroll along the nearby promenade gave us a brief but enjoyable taste of Nice. We highly recommend it.

Nice smaller boutique style hotel. All the staff members were very friendly and helpful. I got a larger room and it was bigger than expected with a larger bathroom and clean. The only thing is the hotel was being remodeled and there was a construction platform and plastic right outside of my window and others blocking most of the window. The bathroom has a small balcony and I couldn’t go outside as it was blocked by the platforms, which was disappointing. But other than that I like this hotel and the beautiful architecture of the building. Breakfast was very good too and it’s within walking distance to the train station and main areas.

Perhaps common to Nice but very small and basic rooms. The grey and silver metallic decor is a little depressing. The shower leaks water all over the bathroom floor no matter what you do. The sink is too large for the bathroom.

It would had been better that they let you know in advance that the building was undergoing a major renovation on the facade. My room with a view of the scaffolding and construction starts early. I am in the building business and I understand that but that is what I was trying to get away from for a few days. If I was in the other part of the building it would had been superb. Staff is great !!

Very unforgiving with check in time and a general sour attitude toward guests The room itself appeared more like a prison cell than a nice hotel The furniture, bed and furnishings were all cheap Overall very disappointed and recommend staying away from this one
