The park boasts tranquil valleys, rugged rock faces, forest, moorland, lochs and ancient woodland, home to a plethora of wildlife including red and roe deer, wild goats and many birds of prey.
Golf and fishing can be found within easy reach, as are the Galloway Hills and the world class 7 Stanes mountain bike trails.
