Please note: There are 4 steps to the garden and a steep drop from the garden to the road.. Ilsington View is an ideal retreat from the daily grind and a great base from which to explore Dartmoor National Park and the coastline further south. This cosy holiday home has a spacious, bright and airy open plan living space, has been stylishly decorated and comes with underfloor heating. The property has two spacious bedrooms and a family bathroom.



The local village of Ilsington feels like it’s in the middle of nowhere, yet it’s just 4 miles from the A38, and a 45-minute drive south to the coast. It’s a 20-minute walk to a good foodie pub, as well as the local country store and village shop. The most famous tor on Dartmoor, Hay Tor, is 2 miles away where walking and cycle routes abound. The Miniature Pony Centre, 9 miles, is great for families, and a local riding centre, 5 miles, offers hacks on the moors. Dartmoor National Park is literally on the doorstep making this the perfect rural retreat. Beach 13¼ miles. Shop and pub 1 mile, restaurant 3¾ miles.

We loved staying here! The view in the front bedroom and the garden are spectacular! And the beds were really comfortable! The kitchen had everything we needed ANd was equipped with everything we needed to make a brew! ANd the bathroom was great (although the toilet was a little high up and took some getting used to!) The host was very welcoming and friendly.

Stayed here for our honeymoon.

Stayed here for our honeymoon. It is an amazing bungalow, very clean, and comfortable. Had everything we needed. Great base to go off and visit different places. Has a small table and two chairs in the garden, which is nice for when the sun is out. Owners live next door - Neil, and his father Doug, who are really friendly. They chatted with us every time we saw them. Nipper, their little dog came to greet us daily too. Was offered fruit and veg grown by the owners, which was really thoughtful. Visited the moors, Dartmoor Zoo, Dawlish - famous for their black swans and Gay's Creamery. Teignmouth was close by, with great fish and chips from Finn McCools, the husband kept asking to go back. Visiting again next year for our 1st wedding anniversary.
