We called ahead to ask what to bring they said it was one step above a tent, our cabin was lovely, slept four very clean had a space heater, refrigerator, ceiling fan .We brought sleeping bags and cooked on a open fire they do provide a grill and a fire pit. We were traveling with two dogs and when we arrived they had a treat bag for them .I would defiantly go back the owners are very kind we felt very safe, playground for children and trick and treating. .well worth the money much less then the hotels and a lot more fun.
No spectacular views, just good 'ol country living. Fire-ring for late night festivities (Fire-rings have become somewhat of a rarity these days). Two man motorcycle trip. Cabin beats a motel room just about any night!
The camping location was ok. The staff was friendly and helpful. The prices of items in the camp store were overpriced which was to be expected. I was paying for the convenience. However, the hike to the restroom/bathhouse was a little strenuous from campsite. It was an uphill hike. The bathhouse was clean for the most part.
This is the coolest place to stay in the Boone area. We stayed over night in a camper that was cute as could be. I was blown away by the facilities on site and in my lodging. There is a common area with sports, a park, large covered picnic area and gem mining. The onsite store is very reasonable priced and filled with any thing you could need or want while camping. Our camper was fully stocked and even had an outdoor grill and fire pit. There was a public water accesses and a bath house. The camper had a private shower, microwave, fridge, stove, coffee maker and tv. I would love to come and stay a while in the future!
