Staff excellent and friendly, breakfast was to a good standard, buffet style.
Unfortunately our room, 300, started to leak when it rained, but we were quickly re located, but only had a lower standard room available, the free chocolates helped with the inconvenience
Staff very friendly and helpful and room was clean we stayed in the family room which was great breakfast was good there was a good selection - downside there was a lot of noise from outside which went on until 2- 3 in the morning.

No problems at all. Staff, food room etc all fine. Hotel is looking a little tired, in need of a little tlc. Will stay again, no probs.
The room was clean and comfortable. Checking was quick and seem less. Every staff member we met was kind and courteous.
We have stayed many times before and this is always our first choice when staying in Newcastle.
I stayed here ten years ago and wow, what a horrible decline. No hot running water, defensive staff and absolutely rubbish breakfast. I understand it’s an old building, but the room was filthy, cold and smelled disgusting. Do not stay here, plenty other nicer and cheaper stays in Newcastle.

Generally the hotel is quite nice they seem to spend a lot of money upgrading the rooms over the last few years the issue is the spa pool jacuzzi and steam room are awful I'd be gutted if I spent money as a spa break
Hotel is in a fantastic location, but unfortunately our first room had moths in it. They did try to clean it - but they remained.
The hotel staff did change our room eventually and gave us a free drink and breakfast - but it was still an inconvenience.

The room is spacious but too outdated. The price is too high and doesn’t match the room. Positive point: Close to the central station and the city center. I would recommend some renovation.
