The initial welcome was excellent, very friendly. The room was very clean and spacious with plenty tea,coffee etc. The cleaning staff are really great, very friendly. Restaurant staff very helpful, good varied menu. Would most definitely return

We were informed at the desk on arrival that the pool was out of order. This was a big blow for us as we had factored in some family time in the pool and we chose the hotel for this facility. I was shocked to have been informed about this prior to the stay or offered any alternative/compensation. Also the service in the restaurant at the evening meal was terrible. We went without any waiting staff at one point for about 20/30 minutes when we were keen to get another drink and order dessert. We ate out on the second night because of this. NO laundry facilities as stated in hotel description! We had to find a laundromat and take a taxi to and from it. They will send out your laundry for you at a HUGE cost. Do not stay here if you’re expecting to do your laundry after 10 days of travel like we were. Very disappointed in false advertising, We were moved to 3 different rooms due to heating issues and lighting problems. Staff was very nice but moving was annoying! Restaurant was good. Buffet breakfast had a lot of variety (extra charge). Dining room was open until 9pm.

Reception lady was very nice and helpful. She told me about the shared taxi being organised to go to the city for the GNR. Very useful and removed a massive stress. Room very comfortable. Breakfast bar was nice for pre-race.

We stayed here recently and overall had a decent experience. On the plus side, the air conditioning worked well, which was a relief, and the location is really convenient with loads of parking. The on-site bar was a nice bonus, and while the room wasn’t anything fancy, it was clean enough. That said, the place does feel quite dated — the room decor definitely had a bit of a 70s vibe. The bathrooms seem more modern but are quite small, and I could see them being tricky if you had mobility issues. The shower design wasn’t great either and tended to soak the floor unless you were careful. The biggest disappointment, though, was the breakfast. For the price, it just wasn’t worth it. All in all, fine for a short stay if you value location and convenience, but a few things let it down.
