The County Hotel is a beautiful old hotel that has been very well maintained. Breakfast is plentiful and the staff were great. Only improvement would be a better selection of toiletry items such as some lotion, shampoo and conditioner etc.

Hotel is located right near the train station and in walking distance of loads of places such as Utillia Arena, St James Park, Metro Centre is only a 10 minute drive. The room was good with a comfy bed, clean bathroom room , shower with hot water etc. Mini bar was useful and not stupidly expensive. Could do with some better glasses for drinks. Staff were all friendly and offered luggage service. Breakfast was nice if not spectacular. Decor around the building could do with updating but otherwise a good place. Would go there again.
