The room was spacious and had more amenities than a standard hotel room. However, the room felt tired and in need of a refresh, and wasn't entirely clean, particularly in the bathroom.
The property is well located for Jesmond and the city centre and felt safe enough, with free parking a big bonus. Check-in at the hotel next door was easy.
The room was spacious and had all described amenities, and the bed was comfortable and clean.
However, carpets, sofa, bathroom flooring all looked visibly tired and the bathroom had significant dust, which did not change when cleaners visited during our stay. Additionally, the kettle was in poor condition (badly scaled).
Lastly, the hand soap and shower gel had clearly been topped up with water, possibly multiple times, and were therefore unusable. This was very disappointing, as toiletries are supposed to be included and this made showering difficult. I have never had this at any hotel I've stayed in before and I don't think this is acceptable practice.
Overall, the space is good, feels secure and is well located, but the condition of the room, particularly the bathroom, is poor.
