Small rooms even for NYC but the staff were great. They should offer reservations for the rooftop bar for hotel guests. Instead the hostess was rude and not accommodating.

Booked this property as an emergency option when I arrived to NYC to find my previous booking ordered closed by the fire marshall. So didn't have the time to do the research I normally would. HOWEVER, this hotel was great. Loved the location - made it easy to get around the city. Lots of walkable options nearby and relatively (note: relatively) affordable. The room was the biggest challenge. Even though I booked us a larger room with two beds for extra space because NYC hotel rooms are notoriously tiny - this room was INCREDIBLY SMALL. The bathroom is a glass thunderdome in the middle of the room (ZERO privacy). The queen bed is up surrounded on three sides so if one of you have to get up in the middle of the night you're disturbing the other totally by climbing over them. The bar opened late (4pm) and closed early (often 10pm/11pm) but there is a coffee shop in the am. Never checked out the restaurant downtstairs but it looked gorgeous in photos. There is a concert venue across the street so every night expect lots of folks hanging out and hot dog carts. We were usually not around during those hours so only nuisance there was the street debris left behind.
