Our reservation was canceled 3 hours before check in because of a plumbing issue and the host was bad at communicating before and after the process. Did not cancel the stay or process our refund for days and I needed to reach out to vrbo CS to get things resolved. Vrbo CS was very helpful though.

Reasons how I ranked this property:Firstly, the location was good! We wanted to stay in lower east side. Also relatively quiet! Secondly, the property is TINY. NOT for anyone with children that can walk. We only used it for getting ready to go and sleeping…there’s very little room to relax or have downtime. Way too much furniture in such a tiny space! It was cute, but hard to navigate…3 of us, 2 bedrooms, luggage had to go in living room on the floor. Thirdly, There was a coffee shop directly to right of apartment, which is on 2nd floor walk up. It would have been nice to have a small coffee pot in the apartment. But I still visited the coffee shop with beautiful pastries every morning! Very good! Fourthly, There was no paper towel provided & only 1 kitchen hand towel. I purchased paper towel. No Kleenex. Only 1 bath towel was provided per person for 6 days. No washcloths nor hand towels. Bathroom sink would not drain properly which was gross and I let owner know but only got a response after I checked out. Fifthly, it was very expensive and no refunds, so I spent more money by purchasing travel insurance! I realized we could have stayed in some VERY nice hotels for the price. And after day 2, we almost left and got a hotel! Finally, maybe 2 people could make it work for them, but no more. Not worth the price. The owner had good communication before checking in and after 1st day, but apartment is not recommended.

Terrible experience. We never had a chance to stay here. We checked in at 12:30 (and had to pay the host’s helper a 35 early check in fee by CashApp), went out in the city, came back in the evening, and the locks were changed by the building super. The host’s helper was initially in contact, but then stopped communicating. The host did not respond to be nor VRBO. The super left a number for us to contact, and someone came to provide access so we can retrieve our items. Upon entry, we saw that all of the furniture had been removed and the power was shut off. We then had to wait for them to find my daughter’s bag (and then return again the next day to retrieve additional items).

The whole Vrbo experience went great! Our contact to get us in the building was quick to respond and very accommodating when we arrived early. The apartment was very bare bones but had all that we needed. It was clean and you couldn't beat the location. Lots of great places to eat. We were very comfortable walking around. The building was very easy to enter and leave and the checkout pricess was a breeze. Would def stay there again!

I cannot recommend this rental. I encountered several issues. First, the host wanted to charge an unlisted late check-in fee to be collected via cash or Zelle (outside the Vrbo platform) by the ‘housekeeper’ that let us into the property. Second, there is major construction on many surrounding units with construction noise between 8-5 with construction dust and debris falling into the unit through the shared radiator pipes covering our belongings with dust. Then, we lost hot water at which time we decided enough was enough. The host claimed none of this was her fault despite the multiple publicly posted permits just outside the unit, and refused to cancel our remaining days. We had to book a hotel. The red flags began when the host let me know the location of the rental was not as shown on the listing. She took several days to respond to my questions and concerns. Overall, horrible experience-AVOID this place!!!
