Clean room. Neat place. I was trying to sleep in. Checkout is 11:00. Cleaning person knocking on my door at 10:00. So that stunk. If you stay here, request a room opposite of the road. Probably much quieter.

The staff was incredibly unprofessional, he argued with me, instead of just letting me check in. After the way he spoke to me, I had no desire to spend the night on the property. How shameful. He needs to be properly trained.

This Hi-Ho was the first place we’ve ever stayed in that was entirely free of staff. We filled out a virtual form, were emailed a passcode, and walked up the back staircase to our door and used that passcode to get into the room (and yes, the Hi-Ho is still a motel, though it’s been very nicely renovated). Inside, the room was clean and new, though the decor was cow-meets-Warhol, which was confusing but also kinda funny! The bathroom was clean but without an exhaust fan, so there are prominent signs to shut the door while showering or you’ll set off the fire alarm. We followed the rules and had no problems. The shower had good pressure and the mattress was super comfortable. No complaints. Worth the price.

No reception, housekeeping every 3 days etc on the property made it impossible to request extra towels or any other items or services. For $200+ a night you’d they can effort basic services. We come to this area often, this was the first time and last time I’m going to visit this place.
