Room was always cleaned up, get to breakfast before 10, they close it on the dot, the front room where breakfast is served needs more air… it was way stuffy every morning. Loved the all day coffee being available. Sometimes hard getting turned left out of parking lot bc there’s no light.

We went to Hampton Inn for a staycation close to home and wanted fun for the kids, breakfast included and a bonus was that it is dog friendly so instead of finding dog care, we were able to take him with us! Everyone who worked there was nice, the kids enjoyed the water slide. Nothing was remarkable. It was a nice, adequate overnight. Served its purpose.

Clean and lovely hotel with excellent staff

Immaculate hotel with friendly staff, fantastic breakfast, lovely decor and excellent amenities. However, with the renovation the beds now are very high making it very difficult to get in and out of the beds. Also now the toilets are extremely low. Thus the stay was not as comfortable as in the past prior to the renovations.

Our stay at the Hampton Inn by Hilton Shelton was absolutely excellent. The location was perfect — close to great restaurants, shopping, and convenient transportation options. The area felt safe and peaceful, which made it ideal for our family of four. The hotel itself was spotless, with a quiet atmosphere and comfortable facilities. We especially enjoyed the delicious breakfast, fresh coffee, and hot chocolate. The air conditioning kept our room perfectly cool, and the shower water was so clean and refreshing that I actually commented on how good the water quality was in this area! The staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. We also appreciated the free unlimited Wi-Fi — much better than some four-star hotels where you have to pay for internet. With each family member needing multiple devices connected, this was a big plus. Free parking made things even easier. We were so happy with our experience that we’ve decided to stay at Hampton Inn for future trips. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a clean, family-friendly, and convenient place to stay near New Haven.
