Checked in around 8:30 pm and the front desk didn’t even know if there was a room ready. He had to go check and found one. The hotel smelled like smoke even in the halls. Although it says no smoking. Even found cigarette buds in the hallway. Doors were open to other rooms that were dirty. My room was unswept or mopped. Roaches in the bathroom. Don’t even think the sheets were changed. Only stayed there a few hours and left.

Broken coffee pot, air conditioner didn’t cool, broken tv, no extra toilet paper(so I had to use only what was on the roll then go ask for more). I gave this hotel a one star because it had good parking, nice front counter attendant. They need a policy on smoking marijuana in the hotel because it was so thick. You could barely walk down the hall.

The owners are really horrible people. They let druggies wander about the property buying and selling various drugs. Dont stay in any motel 6 in San Marcos, all 3 Motel 6s are owned by the same, ignorant, mean, ugly people. The staff and owners are rude and racist. A very awful stay. Will never stay there again.

this place is absolutely disgusting as soon as you walk in smelled like cigarettes and dirty carpet. the room had roaches the walls were stained no clean towels in the room and when i went to ask for some the person in the front said they ran out i asked for a refund and left immediately.

first room had tons of roaches in it, then we got moved and honestly was really good. exit by our room smelled like wet dog, that smell was so strong everytime we walked that way to leave. we did end up finding another roach in the new room before we left.

The room I stayed in was quite damaged - patches on the walls and a missing cabinet door. The walls are quite thin in this hotel and I heard a lot more than I'd like. The biggest issue of all was that the front desk work made an "error" and assigned another group of guests to our room after we had already checked in. Imagine my surprise when I was on in my room and a group entered using their own key. That was completely unacceptable, not only an invasion of privacy but a HUGE safety concern. The front desk simply brushed it off and gave me a new key and was not nearly as apologetic as you'd think one would be for a mistake like that. Overall, I wouldn't suggest staying here if you value safety and cleanliness.

Staff was friendly but the room was very badly maintained. Hair dryer not working, no remote for TV, stove top not working and the electrical one they provided in the room was very dirty and old. No basic handsoap in restroom and only one roll of toilet paper for 3 people. Towels were very cheap, thin and worn. Shower had Sheetrock coming off of it.
