Camp Watanda has historically been a spectacular and memorable large acreage camp for Bay Area Pioneer girls since 1927. Transformed into a special retreat in 2002 for guests, families, and weddings! Under new ownership, and it's only going to get better!

The entire lodge, its' stunning full-length deck, meadow vistas, pine views, and convenient paved driveway are all yours for your stay. You have direct access to the waterfront, which you can see from the Lodge.

The shoreline of the lake, the rolling lawn, the dock, the lake toys: kayaks and canoes are all shared accessories with other guests in the little cabin (4 people) on Watanda's glorious acreage.

There are other buildings on the property which will be occupied by us (the owners) and other guests. Also, you are on a beautiful shared lake where kids are living out their most fun summer camp dreams.

**Important things to know about our special property...

The Lake is seasonal and is empty approximately from October 1 - March 30 each year; exact dates are dependent upon rainfall.

In the winter, the empty lake's lush green meadow/valley is a beautiful gathering spot for animals of all kinds. Rock Creek winds through the meadow at a minimal, slow Winter's pace, keeping the area green and teeming with Wildlife.

Pets are allowed up to 2 dogs. $50 per stay. Please be mindful of other guests and make sure to clean up after them.
Make yourself comfortable in this air-conditioned cabin, which features a fireplace. Conveniences include a microwave and a washing machine.
Guests will find features like internet access and onsite parking.

We had a great stay here and would definitely come back again. Check-in was super smooth and easy, and the hosts were very communicative throughout the entire stay. The property itself is beautiful, with a really nice little lake and plenty of kayaks and other things to use and enjoy. Everything was well kept and relaxing. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we would absolutely stay here again.

Everything about the property was on point. Kitchen and gas BBQ as we like to cook accommodated all needs. Coffee bar was on point for whatever you needs were. Most importantly the outdoors exceeded out 2 boys 16 and 19 and their 2 cousins' boy/girl 15 and 16 with the outdoor activities. Paddleboard, Kayak, canoe and good fishing with plenty of other outdoor activities. We also brought are 11-year-old lab. She swam in the lake, the 1st time in over a year and liked to roll in the meadow!! We had our boat at Scotts Flat reservoir 20 minutes away. We were on the water 4 different days wakeboarding, wake surfing and tubing!! Spent 1 day at the Yuba River swimming and fly fishing!! we caught 15 fish mostly little ones, but it is always fun on a fly rod!! The river was only 15 minutes from the house. Town is right there but did not go in, spent out free time cooking and the lodge. Great time and looking to rebook for next year!!

The lake is beautiful. The cabin was clean but the patio was not ready for use. There is only 1 bedroom (not 2) that sleeps 6-7. The one bathroom was a little challenging, but that's my fault for not reading more carefully. The owner was nice and communication was good. Overall, this place has potential and I know they will work on it since they just recently bought the place.
