When we arrived reception was closed and asked to see reception in morning.. I left my car in the car park as inline said parking available. On meeting a male colleague in the morning he was quite rude and unhelpful around the parking as I had booked through a 3rd party.. and couldn’t use the car park. What he failed to explain was that there was ample free parking on the road for an hour or overnight in the public car park which we found out by asking a local cafe owner..

Strongly recommend this hotel in the centre of Nelson right downtown with lots of restaurants in walking distance. Staff was extremely friendly. Rooms are large and clean.

Unfortunately the room was not ready on check in. Check in was 2pm room was not ready till 2:30pm. Room was not serviced by the time we got back from a day out. We got back at approx 2:30pm and rooms were still being cleaned on our floor. As we were tired we told the house keeping staff not to worry about our room as we didn't want to have to wait before we could relax. Insufficient parking for a hotel of this size. We had to opt for a parking lot behind the hotel, having to walk back and forth in the rain was quite annoying.

In a fantastic location. The room had everything you could need, including kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, iron etc. I'd definitely recommend Quest Nelson.
