We stayed one night at Everglades City motel. We knew it was not a 5-star hotel but were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and the updates that had been made to our room. The bed was very comfortable and the room contained everything we needed, including a small refrigerator. We found a nice restaurant within walking distance and enjoyed our evening. Would stay again if we ever get back that way.

There is no office/check-in at the motel itself. You must go to the sister hotel, Ivy House Hotel to check in. Unfortunately, there are steep stairs to access the front office and I am partially handicapped, making it quite the ordeal to get up the stairs and climb back down to check in. The room itself was clean and updated, and there was a decent restaurant out the back door of our room and across the parking lot. There was a boil water alert while we were there, so bottled water only to drink. Interesting place to visit, plenty of history, and water-related things to do there.
