The location was just over the road from my conference venue, and the bed was comfortable. However there were some down sides: the bathroom shower head was quite caked with limescale - which did not inspire confidence that the rest of the rooms were also clean. The extractor unit in the bathroom could not be turned off and was generating a low thrum all night. Also the hotel has no laundry facilities, so if you need to do any washing you have to take your laundry three blocks to wash them at the nearest laundromat. (That is once you find out that their QR code compendium is out of date as to where the nearest laundromat is.)

I had a fantastic stay at Expressotel. The location is perfect for exploring the city centre, with everything just a short walk away. The staff were incredibly friendly & welcoming. The room was a great size - tidy, clean & very quiet. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!

Check in was very frustrating as there is nobody at the desk. We showed up at 11 AM and had a tour set up for 11:30 AM and was very difficult to find somebody to even let us in the front door. Thankfully, there was cleaning stuff on site and they were able to open the door and at least let us put our luggage inside before our tour.
