Ok. I'm going to try to be as fair as I can. I want to rate this property excellent or at least good because A.) the staff are incredible; fun, efficient, conscientious, friendly, the best and B.) the property is beautiful, elegant even. But...the food. Ugh. is horrible. And even though breakfast was included, the best you could hope for was "meh." But...that could be said about just about everywhere in Nairobi. So...there's that. Then; I booked a double room; You know...with two beds? and then was told I only booked for one person and we had to pay and extra $100.00 (USD) for an extra person...Not cool. In addition, that food I mentioned? $24.00 CAD for an inedible cheeseburger and $8.00 for a bottle of water and they added a 17 1/2 % VAT (No thank you...That's a RIP OFF). (Also; just bring the water that's in the hotel room to your table and you can forgo ordering it.) Also the hotel is like an armed camp to get in - huge iron gate,, and then you have to scan your bags and phone to get in after that. Maybe that's not so bad as everything in Nairobi has to do that because of theft and terrorism threats. But still...it's...Out there. NOTHING in the vicinity. Fortunately, there's Uber and it's cheap. Overall, I have to concede that the good outweighs the bad- I guess we travelers have allowed hotels to gouge and screw with VATS and until we rebel and refuse to pay it, it will continue. Overall, the only reason I'd stay there again was if we had to.

Do NOT stay here. The hotel failed us in so many areas: - failure to pick up and respond to emails sent asking for airport to hotel collection / transfer - despite then calling 3 times in advance and resending emails, failure to meet us at the airport to collect us. Sent a driver only once we had arrived and called 3 times chasing - failure to make up our room for the 4 person occupancy booked and paid for - worst of all, our room was overlooking ‘Nairobi’s biggest nightclub’ “the Tunnel” which is advertised as being open 24 hours. The noise from the club was deafening and kept us awake until 4am when it at last stopped. Despite complaining, no help or alternative room offered. The worst night I’ve had in a hotel; it should disclose that it is situated literally right next to a rave venue.

The bath mat was moldy, the hair drier didn’t have a converter plug, the staff was not very friendly. We stayed here for a day while waiting for our flight at the end of our vacation, and of 4 places we stayed this was the worst.

Few days before arrival I tried to contact the hotel to enquire about the airport transfer. Unfortunately nobody answered so we had to take an Uber Other than that, the staff was very pleasant, room was spacious and good quality. Bathroom finish could have been better but nothing major. Great stay overall

Less than 5 minutes drive from both the Jomo Kenyatta airport and SGR Train Terminal. The property has excellent security measures in place upon entry. The hotel is well appointed with great customer service. Dining options were plentiful and the food was good (8/10 in our opinion). The chefs were very accommodating, even agreeing to make us scrambled eggs and toast off menu at 12:30am. I travel to Kenya 1-2 yearly with a team and love staying near rhe airport the first and/or last night. We stayed twice in August and will be back on our next trip end of the year!

Stayed only to freshen up as long airport hangover between flights. Super modern, everything works, staff really helpful, 24 hour restaurant and free airport transfers, even at 6am. Should have booked 2 nights, as spa and pool looked excellent…just didn’t have time. Good value as well!
