This is our very favorite hotel in the Outer Banks. Excellent location and the hotel is fantastic. Lots of extra perks like breakfast, popcorn snack then wine and cheese in the afternoon and cookies at night.

Everything was very nice the main problem is the smell of marijuana it reeked in the hallways..Had to put a towel over my nose to get from room to the elevator, and for no pets saw several little puppies, which were not service dogs,,All n all the MARIJUANA smell was an everyday thing,, i just thanked God we didn't have little children with us,, No one seemed to be able or care to do anything about..

Perfect location for the OBX Jeep Invasion! Plenty of parking and fast convenient checkin. Complimentary popcorn in the lobby as well as cookies each night. Pool looked inviting but did not get to take advantage of it. Easy access to the beach. Will definitely be back again!

Great hotel, but huge storm so had to leave early

A wonderful hotel, really nice clean room, comfortable beds and great morning buffet included. Unfortunately, we arrived on the weekend of a big storm (one bridge was subsequently closed) and the surfer event was cancelled. We booked 2 nights but decided to leave on the 2nd day, and it was just past check out so no refunds or future creditd because we booked through hotels.com :-( . We would love to come back sometime. Nice friendly staff and easy beach access. Great location too.

This hotel is a great place to stay in OBX. It is clean, guest oriented with things like snacks, great breakfast, beach chairs, cooler ice dispenser, great service, and easy parking. The bathrooms are a bit small but overall the room is clean and has what you need. The Adirondack chairs on the balcony are a very nice touch.

Surfing to excellence

Amazing service! Every employee I interacted with was super nice and helpful! I noticed a couple of places in the hotel and hotel room that may have needed closer cleaning. The breakfast was delicious, but I would have preferred a self-serve buffet style breakfast with a couple more items. One last thing my family and I enjoyed was the daily cookies, available popcorn, and free wine :)

We really enjoyed our stay at Surf Side Hotel. It is right on the beach. Great location for a good price. Walkable to Jennette’s Pier among other attractions. The hotel provides beach chairs if you ask the front desk staff. Access to the beach was really easy. We enjoyed the complementary wine and cheese happy hour and the late-night chocolate chip cookie hour. The breakfast at the hotel was also good. Each morning they had some staples that never changed, but they did rotate a few items to keep their menu fresh. My husband really enjoyed the waffle bar. Our room was very clean and had a beautiful view of the ocean housekeeping was very pleasant and always checked on us even if we had our privacy tag on the door to make sure we didn’t need fresh towels or want our garbage taken out. I would highly recommend this stay to anyone looking to stay in the Outer Banks.
