Beautiful property. Nice staff. That's about where it ends. The included breakfast buffet was fine, but the other dining options were...not good. We tried them all, and they were all about the same. To add insult to injury, on the second day I got food poisoning from this resort, which lasted 2 weeks. It's clear that they push the guest spending as much money as possible. One night, at the bar, after buying a few drinks and paying one of the bartenders chased us down as we were leaving to tell us we should be tipping cash and not on the bill itself, because it gets split across all employees. Bit odd. The manager, who seemed nice though a little pushy, came to us one morning and told us he'd book us that evening for supper at one of the restaurants. We showed up that evening and the manager had forgotten to book, so we didn't have the reservation. Lovely. Our room was beautiful, but for some strange reason, they booked us at the same time as they were doing construction / repairs near. Every day, all day, sawing, hammering etc. Additionally, our shower kept clogging and overflowing in the room. The day before we left, we went to the lobby to ask about a taxi to the airport - my wife asked one of the bell boys who told us he could get a local taxi for $20 (how much we paid to come in from the airport). Another member of the staff overheard my wife and scolded the employee for not pushing the supported 'shuttle' the hotel pushes, which is $40 instead of $20. Bit jarring.
