This guesthouse had everything we needed while travelling the ring road via Mývatn. The rooms were clean, but definitely not sound proof as other guests using the kitchen were easily heard through the door. The guesthouse was close to the Myvatn nature baths as well as lake Myvatn.

Can’t beat the location when it comes to accessing all the incredible naturalistic beauty in the area. Easy check-in and good place to rest for two nights. A bit noisy with the thin walls, but thats what you come to expect when staying at guesthouses. Worth it for the price!

Friendly Staff

We stayed at Eldá Guesthouse for four nights, and found it to be a perfect home base for exploring the Myvatn area. Conveniently close to grocery shopping, which made it easy to prepare our meals in the kitchen. All the staff , including reception, kitchen and cleaning, were wonderful. Thanks for your hospitality!!
