We had a very nice stay at this hotel. Staff members were very friendly and accommodating. Clean room and nice balcony overlooking the ocean. Great bar/restaurant. Great staff and food. Would definitely stay again.

Booked an oceanfront king suite but when we arrived we were told that there were none available. No alternative was offered, not even the option to switch to a king room if it became available the next night. Otherwise the room was clean and fine. Wish I had a king bed like I reserved, would have booked differently had a I known none were available.

Room is clean, view is excellent, breakfast as good as free hotel breakfast can be. Staff are friendly as well. However, we didn't like the parking garage very much. Since we had to pay for nightly parking fee we'd hope there's more convenient ways to park.

Stay was convenient because we stored our own snacks and drinks in the fridge. Check in was quick. I did not like the fees associated with the stay. I also did not approve of the sofa mattress with its large yellow stains. I did not like the old musty smell of either the pillows or mattress Islept on. The water from the shower spills out onto the tile because the shower door doesn't extend out so the floor ends up with a puddle. Breakfast was good the first morning of our stay and then after the that it was bland. The bar could've had some sort of complimentary drink such as champagne for new years eve. The staff member made it clear there was not anything special planned for new years such as a menu for food or drink specials. The hotel I stayed at last new years had complementary champagne. That hotel is on the same beachfront location as the Residence Inn myrtle beach.

The room was great. We had no housekeeping, but we expected that on Christmas. The food on Wednesday was leftovers, but fresh. Thursday was great! Checkout easy. Be sure to tell about thr $400 hold for incidentals. And $20 parking daily.
