The unit has a beautiful oceanfront view, including a clear view of the Ferris wheel, and the location was very convenient. It was close to the boardwalk, Ripley’s, Paula Deen’s, and other Myrtle Beach attractions, with Charleston about two hours away. That made getting around easy and enjoyable.The layout of the condo was a bit unusual, with the bedrooms located immediately as you walk through the front door, which took some getting used to. During our stay, the pool and hot tub appeared to be in need of repairs. Our daughter became sick in the pool, and the area had still not been cleaned up five days later.We also experienced two instances where our door was opened while we were not in the unit. Nothing was taken, and we later learned there was remodeling and door painting happening, but we were not notified ahead of time that staff would be entering the unit. In addition, we found several loose screws (approximately 4–5) in the south parking lot, which raised some safety concerns. On a few very windy days, strong gusts blew through and caused the blinds at the back door to move significantly.Overall, the views and location were excellent, but clearer communication, maintenance attention, and safety improvements would make this an even better stay.
